Intention, Connection, Community

Sunday 7th January 2024

Recalling our intentions involves the natural arising or the deliberate cultivation of an intention that is prosocial, altruistic, and non-transactional … It is directional and deliberate. Our intention keeps us moving in the direction we want to go.

- Roshi Joan Halifax

An invitation to start the new year setting intentions, making connections and being in feminist community.

On Sunday 7th January 2024, please join us for a walk together in the beautiful Lee Valley WaterWorks Nature Reserve, followed by a Sunday roast at the Princess of Wales pub. Alongside sharing time with feminist-minded folks, we will also draw upon the natural surroundings of the WaterWorks Nature Reserve and environmental arts practices to set our intention(s) for our therapeutic practices this year.

We will meet at the WaterWorks for 10.45am, dress warm to spend a couple of hours being together outside before heading for a Sunday roast together. The event is free, but you will need to pay for your Sunday lunch. Let us know you are joining us by emailing: feministtherapynetwork@protonmail.com . We will need to book ahead for lunch. Really looking forward to spending time together and hope to see you then. You will be very welcome.

FEMINIST THERAPY NETWORK LAUNCH

Saturday 20th May 2023

Taking place in the intimate, outdoor woodland space of Phytology at Bethnal Green Nature Reserve in East London, this launch will provide opportunity to hear more about the aims of The Feminist Therapy Network, including its ethos, intentions and offerings. We will hold space for conversations about feminisms’ relationship to psychotherapy, alongside inviting interest and involvement in its development. We will end with a solidarity fire pit and drinks together, building connections and imagining an Otherwise.

For more information about the FTN, and before booking your place, please read its aims and ethos.
